James Hay Wrap products

A range of options to suit your clients' needs

A James Hay Wrap may contain any of the following individual wrappers:

The Investment Portfolio

The basis of every James Hay Wrap is the Investment Portfolio within which a client can hold a wide variety of investments, including UK and overseas stocks and shares, unit trusts, OEICs and UCITS, life assurance bonds and cash. Cash may be paid in or out, and existing investments are transferred in, simply and without charge.

ISA

Investors can use up to their full annual ISA allowance of £10,200 to hold cash and/or stocks and shares, unit trusts, etc. free of most UK taxes on income and capital gains. All types of ISA may be set-up and existing ISAs can be transferred in.

Offshore Bond

The Offshore Bond is administered in the Isle of Man by Royal London 360 Insurance Company Limited, and can hold offshore unit trusts and other offshore investments. Investment returns are rolled up free of UK taxes, and withdrawals up to 5% pa are free of immediate tax liability.

SIPP

The James Hay Wrap SIPP can hold a wide range of individual and collective investments, as well as venture capital trusts and commercial property. Existing benefits from a registered pension scheme can be transferred in.

Points To Consider

  • Clients should ask their Financial Adviser to explain the risks involved and be sure that they fully understand them before proceeding
  • The value of your investments can fall as well as rise. For investments held in the Wrap SIPP this could affect the value of the assets available to fund retirement income
  • James Hay can accept Commercial property (such as shops and offices) as an investment to be held in a SIPP. This is not a liquid investment and may not be readily realisable
