Select SIPP

SIPP freedom plus a choice of portfolio options

The Select SIPP is designed for use if a client has a Financial Adviser appointed. It enables the client and adviser to choose between two portfolio options, depending on the client’s investment and service needs.

Select Funds option

Self Investment Options

The SIPP fund may hold any combination of:

  • Investments through the Investment Manager Panel
  • Unit trusts, investment trusts and open ended investment companies (OEICs)
  • Individual stocks and shares – both UK and overseas
  • Structured products
  • Commercial Property
  • Fixed-interest bonds, cash deposits, financial instruments and Derivatives
  • Other investments listed on the Select SIPP Permitted Investment List

Points To Consider

Before buying a Select SIPP, all of the risks and commitments need to be considered. More information about these can be found in the Select SIPP Key Features document.

  • The value of your investments can fall as well as rise
  • Investments such as commercial property (such as shops and offices) may take longer to sell than others and you will need to take this into account when you consider taking your benefits
  • Property funds, particularly in current market conditions, are not considered to be liquid investments and may not be readily realisable
  • Some investments carry a higher degree of risk than others. Individuals should be sure that they fully understand the risks of such products before proceeding to invest in them and seek independent financial advice if necessary
  • Exposure to derivatives may result in losses in excess of the amount invested
