HM Revenue & Customs publishes further draft pensions tax simplification regulations and orders

On 21st September HM Revenue & Customs published three further draft pensions tax simplification regulations and orders as follows:

• Transfers and Wind-Ups secured by Individual Contracts of Insurance
• The Registered Pension Schemes (Provision of Information) Regulations 2005
• The Registered Pension Schemes (Relief at Source) Regulations 2005

These regulations deal with the a number of issues under the following broad areas:

• The protection of pre A-Day pension rights
• Provide further clarification in connection with the requirements imposed on the scheme administrator of a registered pension scheme to provide information to the Revenue
• Provisions for tax relief on pension contributions made to a registered pension scheme
