Abbey Sharedealing

An execution only dealing service, for James Hay SIPP and Wrap holders wishing to hold individual shares and other stock exchange securities, is provided by Abbey Stockbrokers Limited.

Telephone dealing is available, and Abbey Stockbrokers will buy and sell investments on the London Stock Exchange and major North American and European exchanges.

There is no charge for share transactions carried out in respect of a James Hay Wrap. However, it should be noted that individual securities cannot be held within the Wrap Offshore Bond.

Abbey Sharedealing apply the following charges for James Hay SIPP transactions:

  • After 100 trades in a calendar year the charge is capped at £25 for the rest of the year
  • After 200 trades in a calendar year the charge is capped at £15 for the rest of the year
  • The Abbey Sharedealing charge is in addition to the existing James Hay dealing charge

Stamp duty of 0.5% will be applied to the overall purchase price. This is rounded up to the nearest £5 on residual stock. A mandatory PTM levy of £1 will be applied on all transactions over £10,000.

Please note that these charges only relate to London Stock Exchange traded shares.
